Kyuil Lee

Kyuil graduated from the University of Pennsylvania in 2017 with a double major in physics and computer science. During his time at Penn, he was actively involved in robotics research for robot soccer with the GRASP lab and engaged in physics research on nano-materials, particularly graphene. After graduating, Kyuil worked as a software engineer at Google from 2018 to 2020 at Google's headquarters in Mountain View, focusing on backend development. After his stay at Google, he started his own company, where he built solutions in ad-tech and later developed educational software for consumers between 2020 and 2022. Kyuil then joined Niantic as a software engineer, working from 2023 to 2025 on core infrastructure and internal content moderation software for games that leverage large language models, as well as other machine learning models in computer vision. During this period, he also studied at Stanford, where he earned an AI Graduate Certificate between 2023 and 2024.
